Reviews for Powermatic 1792000K Model PM 2000 three Horsepower Cabinet Saw with 50-Inch Accu-Fence, 2 Cast Iron Extension Wings, Table Board, and Legs, 230-Volt 1 Phase (Tools & Home Improvement) Just purchased this noticed as an improve to a Delta Contractor's Tablesaw. This is sooo so much nicer!! Quality all over. But the fit wanted a few adjustments:
    1. The fence lockdown handle is meant to screw into the cam lever. Mine came un-tapped! The gap was once there but no threads. I could have asked Powermatic for a replacement lever, but I selected to tap the threads myself. Very straightforward and a snappy restoration.
    2. The molded plastic motor quilt wanted to have the prime plastic hinge enlarged. It would no lengthyer line up with the metal hinge part mounted on the noticed. Again, a very easy fix with a drill bit.
Other than these minor gliches, this is a super noticed. And getting it off the delivery pallets was once a snap with the built-in casters. Normally you need to have a couple fiends assist heft it from the pallet. Not this noticed. I layed out the 2x4 crate facet supports and delivered a section of plywood to make a ramp, cranked down the casters and just rolled it off single-handedly! Sweet!

I gave this rating 4 megastars because of the above problems, however in level of fact its four three/4. Don't hesitate to buy this saw as a result of it's now not a 5 big name rating.
Reviews for Powermatic 1792000K Model PM 2000 3 Horsepower Cabinet Saw with 50-Inch Accu-Fence, 2 Cast Iron Extension Wings, Table Board, and Legs, 230-Volt 1 Phase (Tools & Home Improvement) The first PM2000 shipped through Amazon arrived faulty. Here are a list of the issues:

    1. When raising the blade the whole trunnion would wander towards he fence with the aid of at the least .020.

    2. The trunnion would twist counter - clockwise on a horizontal plane causing the rear of the blade to wander away from the fence (and the front towards the fence) when raising the blade. Try holding this one square to the miter slot. Not cool. This used to be also off via at the least .020 front to rear.

    3. The nylon shoulders on the fence were a lengthy approach from flat.

    4. The fence size mark line was once in the shape of a skinny "V". The V used to be about 1/16" broad at the prime.

    5. The insert plate was once missing the regulate screws.

    6. When WMH despatched out the replacement screws it was unimaginable to get the plate flat with the table.

How did this unit make it out of their factory?

WMH and Amazon were nice enough to ship out a complete new saw, and decide up the bad one without cost, so I can't whinge a lot about their customer service. The new noticed is good throughout, no twisting and so on., and the entire setup was once much more accurate out of the field. Even the insert plate was flat to the top. However, it used to be shipped out with out the hardware needed to mount the fence rails to the table top and extension desk.

I'm going on a month without a totally purposeful noticed thanks to unacceptable quality keep a watch on on the part of WMH. I'd additionally like to mention that that is an incredible hassle. Shipping, unloading, assembling X2, disassembling, disposal of all of the cardboard and the pallet X2, more than one calls to customer support. Not cool and extremely time ingesting.

WMH/Powermatic customers deserve higher. WMH Tool Group wants to try more difficult.
Reviews for Powermatic 1792000K Model PM 2000 three Horsepower Cabinet Saw with 50-Inch Accu-Fence, 2 Cast Iron Extension Wings, Table Board, and Legs, 230-Volt 1 Phase (Tools & Home Improvement) I lately bought a Powermatic 2000 noticed, 3hp, 1ph, with a 50" fence. The saw arrived in excellent condition in an important sturdy crate along with a number of heavy boxes containing the fence and rails. A few comments on this saw. The match and end of the saw are very good. The cast-iron prime and wings are floor to a fantastic polish and in shape up neatly. The forged iron prime on this noticed is manner higher than that of the Powermatic 66 and the Delta Unisaw. After uncrating and assembling the wings to the highest I take a appear ated the alignment of the miter slots to the arbor and found it to be not up to zero.01" proper out of the crate. There was nearly no arbor runout. The arbor is a typical 5/8", but the arbor nut is large, about double the width of the one on a Unisaw and far thicker. Instead of the use of an inexpensive stamped wrench, Powermatic ships you a 27mm field finish wrench to make use of on the arbor nut. Even with the big nut the arbor nonetheless accomodates a 13/16" stacked dado head.
